A body has been found in a nature reserve as police hunt for a missing woman, last seen by her family two weeks ago.
Bedfordshire Police has reported a body was recovered at a National Trust beauty spot as they searched for 24-year-old Bethany Edwards.
On Friday the force issued an appeal to the public for information that could help in locating Ms Edwards who they said had links to Stewartby and Northampton.
In the appeal – shared after Bethany's family expressed concern for her welfare – Bethany was described as being 5ft 6in tall and having blonde hair.
Just hours after releasing the plea for information on Friday, police found a body at Sharpenhoe Nature Reserve in Bedfordshire.
A formal identification of the body has not taken place yet, but Bethany's family have been informed of the discovery.
The force did not say if they are treating the death as suspicious.
