A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a ten-month-old baby girl died in Greater Manchester.
The 22-year-old suspect is being held following the death in Farnworth, near Bolton.
Police were called to an address at 5.30pm yesterday and found the baby unconscious.
She was rushed to hospital where she died.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out later today.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Wilkinson said: "The investigation team is determined to understand how and why this little girl died, and we have arrested a man on suspicion of murder who will be questioned by detectives later today.
"We will be continuing with enquiries throughout the days and weeks ahead and I would encourage anyone who has information to please contact police."
