A heavy snow band is moving off the foothills into Denver Wednesday morning, but the snow isn’t likely to stick around this time.
Denver has a 60% chance of snow through the day, but the snow will mostly be slushy or turn into rain sometimes due to warmer temperatures in the city, limiting travel impacts aside from some slick spots.
Denver’s high temperature Wednesday is 42 degrees.
Elsewhere in Colorado, additional accumulations of three to eight inches are likely in the mountains, with two to four inches possible over portions of the northeast plains.
The snow will end in the plains Wednesday evening and around midnight in the mountains.
Back in Denver, Wednesday night’s low temperature is 22 degrees, then it’s back to sunny and warming days through the weekend.
Thursday’s high is 48 degrees, the Friday and Saturday’s highs are 58 degrees.
Snow chances then return to the forecast Sunday evening.
